The basis of freedom feeling at workplace is that others in community (managers and collegues) acknowledge yours skills and also you can trust others. From the other side when the community (managers, collegues) trust and give freedom, the motivation increases. Remarkable is that things can be done in so many different ways , each person has own unique way and that is good!
Autonomy means that when the task is giving, instead of telling how to do it, it is only showed to which is in common settled target and toward which all are going.
In order to carrying out shared (this is important) goals with passionate motivation, in a new way of thinking "outside the box" , you must feel free to use your own ideas and the skills. Questioning the status quo – and create new ways to do things will not succeed if people don´t feel free to present maybe crazy sounded ideas. Ideas can feel how silly ever, but in those you can find seeds of the new astonishing, good ideas.
When working in a team, it is necessary that all members share motivation. It does not make harm, if people have different opinions, actually that is good, then you can look the issue from many points of you. But if some team member does not have motivation at all, it essentially important to find out what is going on. One can paralyze all the other eager member. Of course there can be many understandable reason behind (e.g. private life problems), but if this state is steady, it must be taken care of. If not, the whole team can return to the old and nothing new is coming out.
What is needed is for creating new is people who think in terms of solutions and not in terms of problems, people who can meet shifting challenges with an open mind. They can change environment to really blooming.
